Strategies for conducting research and teaching reference skills in both print and electronic environments, including the use of databases and the Internet.

Survey of current theories and practices used in the organization of information. Includes practices for access to information in libraries/collections.
LS 503 SCHOOL LIBRARY ADMINISTRATION (3)
This course involves a study of school library collaboration and reference services, budget allocations, personnel selection and management, program and facility evaluation and technical services.
LS 593 PUBLIC SCHOOL IN-SERVICE WORKSHOP (1-3)
Topical instruction involving exchange of ideas, practical methods, skills, and principles. Normally you may count up to 6 hours of 593 toward your graduate program. Pass-fail only.
