LS 303 LIBRARY PRACTICE I     (2)

Professional and clerical duties in a school, college, university, public, or special library. Opportunity to perform a variety of library duties under the direction of a professional librarian. Pass-fail only. Prerequisite: (LS 301 and LS 302) or International Student Group

 

LS 315 LIBRARY PRACTICE II     (2)

LS 401 ADMINISTRATION AND ORGANIZATION OF SCHOOL LIBRARIES     (3)

Functions, organization, control, and equipment of the school library; relationship of the librarian to the administration and the instructional program of the school.

 

LS 402 HISTORY OF BOOKS AND PRINTING     (3)

Written communication from the earliest times to the present; examines examples of the printer's art through the ages.

 

LS 408 FIELDWORK EXPERIENCE     (1-12)

Individualized supervised field experience in an appropriate agency or organization. Pass-fail only. Fee required.  No repeat limit.

 

LS 485 UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH     (1-6)

Examines recent trends and investigations in a selected area. Letter grade only. No repeat limit.
