ECO 583 COMPARATIVE ECONOMIC SYSTEMS (3)
Political-economic comparison of contemporary capitalist economies in Europe, Asia, and North America with the evolving soviet model in eastern Europe, Russia, and the noncapitalist systems in China, Cuba, and elsewhere. Coconvenes with ECO 483. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA)

Applies economic theory to international trade and finance, theories of exchange rate determination, the international monetary system, exchange rate regimes, international cooperation, and macroeconomic policies in an open economy setting. ECO 599 CONTEMPORARY DEVELOPMENTS (1-3)
Examines recent trends and investigations in a selected area of a particular field of study. May be offered no more than three times before being submitted for a permanent course number. May be repeated for credit. Letter grade only. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA)
ECO 655 ECONOMICS OF PUBLIC POLICY (3)
Applies theories of public finance to various public institutions, local governments, prisons, hospitals, and welfare agencies. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA) and BA 502
ECO 699 THESIS (1-9)
Individualized directed research, writing, and oral defense of selected thesis topic. May be repeated as needed. Prerequisite: Admission to master's program.
