Undergraduate Introduction  

You may pursue the following academic plans in NAU’s Department of Philosophy:  

• B.A. in philosophy

• B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies: philosophy (extended major)

• B.S. Interdisciplinary Studies: philosophy (extended major)

• minor in philosophy

We invite you to use these plans to consider perennial problems of human existence in a systematic and rigorous way. Among these problems are the nature of the moral life, the existence of God, the possibility and scope of knowledge, the meaning of freedom, and the relationship between mind and body. We propose and criticize solutions to these problems, and the results have a direct bearing on everyday human concerns.
