Undergraduate Information

You may pursue the following academic plans through the School of Communication’s public relations program:

Public relations is a management function that relies on all aspects of communication, liberal arts, and creativity to promote goodwill, understanding, and mutual adaptation between organizations and their publics. With that in mind, we designed our major plan to familiarize you with writing, critical thinking, and research skills that enable you to integrate professional courses and NAU’s liberal studies courses; participate in a vital education-enhancing internship in a variety of corporate, agency, and not-for-profit environments; work effectively within a broad range of organizations; and prepare for the ever-changing technological and global marketplace.
