The web-delivered certificate program in gerontology is designed to complement professional or academic baccalaureate and graduate degree programs by preparing students for professional practice with the aged. The program is interdisciplinary and the foundation courses address the social, psychological, and biological facets of aging.
The gerontology certificate program is offered during summer sessions on a two-year cycle, enabling students to complete the program by taking courses during two summer sessions. The courses are not sequenced so that students may begin pursuing the certificate at any time.
