You may pursue the following undergraduate academic plans in NAU’s Department of Psychology:
NAU’s plans in psychology provide a broad curriculum designed to help you develop an understanding and appreciation of the lawfulness of behavior. Our approach emphasizes theoretical foundations, empirical research, and practical applications of psychological knowledge.
The objectives of our academic plans in psychology are:
to provide you with knowledge of the biological, social, and cultural influences on the thought, emotions, and behavior of individuals
to prepare you for employment in business, community agency work, or other professional areas in which a scientific understanding of human behavior would be beneficial
to promote and facilitate the development of critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and an appreciation for scientific method in psychology

You may pursue the following degrees in the Department of Psychology:
M.A. in psychology with emphases in clinical health psychology, pre-doctoral general, health psychology training, or teaching of psychology
Through these programs, we offer high caliber instruction that includes relevant research opportunities and applied experiences supervised by a supportive faculty within a collegial graduate student environment.
