This certificate plan is appropriate if you desire specialized training in early intervention. The courses for this certificate address the Standards of Practice for the Arizona Early Intervention Program. If you are from a disability-related field, you may complete this plan as part of your graduate studies or as a stand-alone certificate.
Candidates in the Certificate in Early Intervention program are required to demonstrate content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and skills, and professional knowledge to be eligible to enter student teaching or internship placements. Content, pedagogical, and professional knowledge or skills are demonstrated through candidate performance on key assessments embedded in the ESE 416, ESE 536, ESE 556 classes in this program.
