You may pursue the following academic plans in NAU’s The W. A. Franke College of Business:
B.S.B.A. (bachelor of science in business administration) in business economics (extended major)

In addition, NAU offers a B.S. in economics in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Our academic plans prepare you for professional and managerial careers of progressively increasing responsibility in business, government, and nonprofit organizations. These plans also provide you with a foundation for continuing professional or graduate education. Our academic plans combine the liberal arts and sciences with a rigorous and current professional program. This combination prepares you to assume social responsibilities, understand the international economy, and make ethical decisions. The W. A. Franke College of Business is accredited by AACSB International.

Admission to NAU qualifies you for admission into our pre-professional program in The W. A. Franke College of Business. You must meet the following requirements to enter our professional programs:
Complete at least 56 units with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better.
Complete the following courses with a grade of C or better in each course: ENG 105, MAT 114 and 119, ACC 205, 255 and 256, CIS 120, and ECO 201, 284 and 285.
If you have a 2.75 grade point average in these courses and have satisfactorily completed portfolio activities designated by The W.A. Franke College of Business, we guarantee your acceptance into our professional program. If you average less than a 2.75 in these courses but have at least a 2.5 and have satisfactorily completed all designated portfolio activities, we admit you into the professional program on a space-available basis according to the rank order of your grade point average in these courses.
If you are in the pre-professional program and have completed all required courses with grades of C or higher but have a grade point average in those courses that’s below the acceptable grade point average for admission to the professional program, you may repeat up to two of the required courses in which you earned a C to meet the minimum grade point average requirement. You may only repeat a required course in which you earned a grade of C one time.

We believe competing effectively in the global economy requires a systems perspective to managing organizations for continual improvement. Therefore, we base our programs on a systems approach to managing organizations in a global context. We incorporate functional integration, multicultural sensitivity, ethical conduct, and rigorous organizational assessment into the MBA curriculum.
Our academic plan specializes in integration and team teaching. Our faculty team seeks to help you develop strong functional skills and an integrative perspective that allows you to apply your skills to solving cross-functional problems. We seek to enhance your communications, problem-solving, and self-management skills, and we use innovative teaching methods and global perspectives throughout our curriculum to enhance your ability to manage across functions and geography. Our M.B.A. experience helps you develop your interpersonal, communications, and leadership skills within a highly personalized educational setting.
