all of NAU’s liberal studies requirements
all requirements for your specific academic plan(s)
at least 30 units of upper-division courses, which may include transfer work
(Note: 36 units are required for B.A.i.L.S. plans.)
at least 30 units taken through NAU, of which at least 18 must be upper-division courses (300 level or above)

If you wish to make a substitution within a requirement in your major or minor or have a requirement waived, such changes must be approved by your advisor, the chair of your department, and the dean of your college or school. To waive or substitute liberal studies requirements, you must submit a petition and get approval from your advisor and NAU’s Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies. For any other appeals of degree requirements, you should submit a petition to the Academic Standards Committee. (See Academic and General Appeals.)
Please be aware that we cannot make changes to your undergraduate record after your baccalaureate degree has been awarded.
