FIN  531 INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT      (3)

Reviews applicable tax code.  Applies investment theory to model portfolios. Examines options and futures contracts in context of hedging and speculation. Determines how payoff streams are altered by combining securities.  Co-convenes with FIN 431.  Letter grade only. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA) and FIN 331

 

FIN  551 CASES IN CORPORATE FINANCE      (3)

Intensive application of theory and techniques for financial management of the resources of the firm.  Applies tools and techniques through case analysis to problem definition and solution in diverse environments.  Co-convenes with FIN 451.  Letter grade only. Prerequisite:  Admission to Business Administration (MBA) and FIN 340 and FIN 350

 

FIN  580 INTERNATIONAL FINANCE      (3)

Develops financial theory and intensive application of techniques in the framework of multinational corporations.  Emphasizes currency exchange and translation problems as well as evaluation of international cash flows.  Co-convenes with FIN 480.  Letter grade only. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA)

Problems and topics of current interest in financial management. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA)
