Designing, developing, and evaluating business plan for a new venture. An overview of terminology, tools, and techniques for planning, scheduling and controlling projects based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as established by the Project Management Institute. Co-convenes with MGT 550. Letter grade only. Prerequisite: BA 301 or MGT 301
MGT 560 ENTREPRENEURSHIP (3)
Business and personal opportunities and risks of entrepreneurship. Examines traits and behaviors of entrepreneurs and business principles contributing to successful exploitation of venture growth opportunities. Co-convenes with MGT 460. Letter grade only. MGT 599 CONTEMPORARY DEVELOPMENTS (1-3)
Examines recent trends and investigations in a selected area of a particular field of study. May be offered no more than three times before being submitted for a permanent course number. May be repeated for credit. Letter grade only.
MGT 600 GRADUATE SEMINAR IN MANAGEMENT (3)
Research and investigation of behavioral science applications to management and problems of motivation, leadership, and human behavior, emphasizing management of organizational change. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA)
MGT 622 PERSONNEL AND LABOR RELATIONS (3)
Personnel principles and techniques related to management of human resources in both public and private sector organizations, including selection, appraisals, training and development, compensation, discipline, and labor relations. Prerequisite: Admission to Business Administration (MBA)
