Certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies

To complete the certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, complete the following:

• 6 units in Medieval and Renaissance Studies outside the major discipline, to be negotiated with the advisor

• two semesters (6-8 units) of Classical Latin

• two additional semesters of Latin (Classical and/or Medieval - 6-8 units) or of a vernacular language of the period (e.g. Old English, Old Norse, Old French, Renaissance Italian)

• thesis written within the major discipline on a topic concerning the Middle Ages or Renaissance (3 units minimum)
