Undergraduate Information

You may pursue the following academic plans in NAU’s Department of Theatre:  

• B.S. in theatre,

with foci in design and technology and in performance   

• B.A. in theatre,

with foci in design and technology and in performance   

• minor in theatre  

• minor in theatre education

• content emphasis in theatre (for the B.S.Ed. in elementary education)

Through these plans, we provide you with a solid foundation in the creative, critical, and applied practice of theatre so you can express yourself logically and artistically as well as being able to teach drama in junior and senior high school, work with community theatre, or pursue further training in graduate or professional programs.  

To that end, we offer a variety of practical and academic courses to chart the development of dramatic history; theory and criticism; and theatre performance, design, and technology from antiquity to current approaches.
