You may pursue the following graduate academic plan through the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry:
M.S. in chemistry with emphases in environmental chemistry, bioorganic and biomedical chemistry, and carcinogenesis and cancer chemotherapy
We developed this academic plan to prepare you for a career in industry, government service, or teaching as well as for advanced study in graduate and professional plans at other academic institutions.
We offer an array of thesis research opportunities in biochemistry as well as in analytical, environmental, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. We particularly emphasize research in environmental chemistry and chemical physics. In addition, you can carry out interdisciplinary research in such areas as archaeological chemistry, atmospheric chemistry, geochemistry, and physics.
