When choosing your courses, please be aware of the following requirements.
You can count up to 9 units in any one department, such as history (HIS) or political science (POS).
At least 60 percent of your coursework (11 units) must be earned through NAU.
At least 6 units of your coursework must not count anywhere else (such as your major, minor, liberal studies, or another certificate).
Be aware that some of the courses in your certificate may have prerequisites that you must also take. Check the courses in the appropriate subject.
