We designed this plan to help you develop your skills as a nursing educator. This plan is directed toward developing competencies both in a clinical area of interest and in an educational focus, and we stress skills in curriculum development, teaching strategies, and evaluation strategies in your clinical area of interest.
For this plan, which requires 40 units, you take the following:
required graduate nursing courses (29 units):
NUR 510, 520, 530, 560, 605, 630, 631, 632, 633, 650, 651, and 675
education courses (9 units):
in curriculum development, web-based technology and methods, adult education and/or community college teaching, in consultation with your advisor
professional project or thesis (2 units):
NUR 689 or 699
