This certificate plan is designed to meet your needs if you are currently:
at least provisionally certified for Career and Technical Education; and
are completing the required professional knowledge courses to convert your provisional certificate to a standard certificate.
To be admitted to this program you need to have an Arizona Provisional Career and Technical Education teaching certificate (or equivalent from another state).
To complete this certificate, you take the following 15 units at Northern Arizona University with a grade of "C" or better in each course and a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5:
the 9-unit core: CTE 391, 433, and 465
3 units selected from CTE 355, 431, 486
3 additional units of CTE professional courses chosen with your advisor
All courses in this certificate program are eligible for transfer to one of the B.S.Ed. Career and Technical Education degree programs.
