Important points to remember:

• These transfer guides should be used in conjunction with the Northern Arizona University Undergraduate Catalog and the Course Equivalency Guide.
• These guides present only lower division coursework which will apply to Liberal Studies.  They are not intended to provide a complete course of study at the community college, but to offer choices to incorporate into the community college program with guidance from your academic advisor.
• All community college courses transfer with lower division credit, regardless of the university equivalency.
• A liberal/general studies component is required for all degrees.
• Up to 64 hours of community college credit may be applied to a bachelor degree program.

All undergraduate degrees require a liberal studies component. Many majors and upper-division courses have prerequisites which may also satisfy liberal studies requirements. Please refer to the appropriate transfer guide, the NAU Undergraduate Catalog, and/or Liberal Studies course listings to determine if this applies to a chosen major.
                         
The liberal studies component may be satisfied through completion of courses, as presented in NAU's Liberal Studies Program, or their community college equivalents. Another option is the completion of an AGEC or TGECC. For more information please refer to the following links:
