US Ethnic


During 2003-2004, a Diversity Curriculum requirement for all NAU students was approved by the Faculty Senate, the Provost, and the University Curriculum Committee.  A sub-committee of the University Curriculum Committee was created to oversee the implementation of this requirement. 

The requirement is as follows for all NAU baccalaureate students who graduate under the provisions of the 2005-2006 NAU Undergraduate Catalog and subsequent catalogs:

  • 3 units of course-work that meet the criteria for the US Ethnic Diversity requirement

  • 3 units of course-work that meet the criteria for the Global Diversity requirement.

  • These requirements may be fulfilled in any part of the student’s program of study.
