¬ Brief description of organization:  provides working families affordable housing opportunities. Programs include Sharon Manor for homeless women and children survivors of domestic violence, homebuyer assistance, foreclosure prevention and sustainable home construction.

¬ Title of AmeriCorps service assignment: Event and Marketing Coordinator

AmeriCorps Service Assignment Description:  

1. Provides direct service support to clients seeking affordable housing resources and community services; assisting walk-in and phone clients with referrals

 

2. Assists with marketing and social media promotion and engagement of clients and donors

3. Coordination of special events to ensure adequate programming for homeless domestic violence survivors and low and moderate-income clients seeking resources

AmeriCorps Member Qualifications:  

1.    Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and social media tools, such as Facebook, and Twitter

2.     Team oriented and committed to mission of the agency

3.     Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort with public presentations

4.      Ability to organize and prioritize work in busy and changing work environments

5.    Available for flexible schedules including some weekends, early morning and/or evenings

6.    Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel and reach with hands and arms, talk and hear

7.  Ability to adapt to changing work demands, work independently, problem-solve effectively, and display creativity.
