¬ Brief description of organization:
The mission of CSI is linking students, AmeriCorps members, Senior Corps volunteers and others to community, educational and non-profit organizations to build, enhance and strengthen community capacity, workforce and career development.

What is the primary focus of this service assignment project?

AmeriCorps Service Assignment Description:

1.  Organize, coordinate, and provide on-site logistical assistance for National Days of Service as designated by the programs of CSI.

2.  Serve as link between NAU student organizations (Office of Student Life, NAU LEADS Center (Leadership, Engagement, Achievement, Diversity, Service), etc, and CSI to build community interest and participation in National Days of Service.

3.
Recruit a multitude of volunteers for events.

4.  Assist with promotional activities (public service announcements, social media, news coverage, listserv updates, etc) for both National Days of Service and other service projects throughout greater Flagstaff.

5. Notify, track,  and report on participation in National Days of Service, including e-mail reminders, attendance sign-in, gathering/bringing necessary supplies for the project(s), serving as liaison with project site, and other duties as necessary.


AmeriCorps Member Qualifications:

1.  Availability for all seven National Days of Service (dates to be annouced)

2.  Excellent communications skills both verbal and written

3.  Able to convey enthusiasm for National Service programs to both NAU and greater Flagstaff community members and organizations

4.  Computer literate with Office Suite of programs, e-mail, and Internet
Willingness and ease in working with diverse populations (age, ethnicity, disability, etc)

5.  Must have own reliable transportation
