1. Work with dedicated team members to create and provide informal educational programs for grandfamilies (i.e. grandparents and relatives who are caring for family members’ children). Duties may include event planning, writing, surveying, co-facilitating, co-training and evaluating a variety of KKONA programs.
2.Assist the KKONA team to launch and implement two train the trainer projects. One whose audience is inter-generational and another whose focus is a diverse audience (cultural, geographic,etc) of caregivers. Duties include volunteer training, development and management.
3. Travel with KKONA Coordinators to represent and deliver educational presentations about the KKONA program across Northern Arizona, state and multi-state locations AmeriCorps Member Qualifications: 1. Knowledge and/or experience with informal education programming. Task include organizing, teaching and gathering program outcomes. 2. Willingness to learn about and practice: facilitation skills, community organizing and/or volunteer development. 3. Computer knowledge is desirable (MAC and/or IBM) and may include publishing/design software to produce educational materials and marketing pieces. 4. Events planning is desirable skills. 5. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. |
