FCP operates the Coconino Center for the Arts, and produces year round changing art exhibitions, concerts, performances and workshops. FCP also administers a grant program for the City of Flagstaff to give funding to local arts and science non-profit organizations.
AmeriCorps Service Assignment Description:
1. ArtWalk Liaison: coordinates gallery and artist participation in the First Friday ArtWalk.
2. Gallery Assistant: assists Gallery Director with all aspects of planning, coordinating, and installing art exhibitions at the Coconino Center for the Arts; greets guests.
3. Youth Program Coordinator: coordinates youth programming with local schools, artists and teachers (includes Youth Art Exhibition and N. Arizona Youth Poetry Festival)
4. Program Assistant: assist with other programs, events and duties as needed.AmeriCorps Member Qualifications:
1. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
2. Highly motivated individual who is willing to learn (no experience necessary for position).
3. Works well independently and takes initiative, but can also participate as an effective team member.
4. Availability during weekends and evenings for events – must have flexible schedule.
