Brief description of organization: Habitat for Humanity of Flagstaff is a community, faith based 501 c (3) organization whose primary Mission is to “provide decent houses in decent neighborhoods for low income Flagstaff families.

AmeriCorps Service Assignment Description:
1. To assist Habitat in continuing to improve and polish its community presence.

2. To work with the Executive Director to develop and promote community events that will focus on Habitat's Mission as well as help promote and direct Habitat's Brush With Kindness program should we decide to implement it in 2010.

3. To expand our outreach to community organizations, businesses, schools, churches and individuals.

4. To assist Habitat in promoting all existing fund raising efforts and help develop and implement any new marketing programs that will benefit Habitat's Mission.
 

AmeriCorps Member Qualifications:  

1. This individual should have excellent organizational skills and be a self starter who needs minimal direction following the development of a particular assignment.

2. This individual should be flexible and capable of changing focus from the task on hand to another assignment and then back to the original charge.

3. This individual must have strong communication skills and be comfortable with public speaking, writing, and telephone solicitation.

4. This individual must have excellent background in computers and their various programs.
