AmeriCorps Service Assignment Description:
- To assist Habitat in continuing to improve its Community presence through organizational marketing and promoting A Brush With Kindness
- To work with the Executive Director to continue developing and promoting community events that focus on Habitat's Mission as well as promote and direct our A Brush With Kindness program -- A Brush With Kindness provides exterior painting, minor repairs and lawn clear up for low income families. T To continue expanding Habitat's outreach to community organizations, businesses, schools, churches and individuals.
- To assist the Executive Director in continuing to promote all existing fund raising efforts as well as implementing any new marketing programs that will benefit Habitat’s Mission.
AmeriCorps Member Qualifications:
- This individual should have excellent organizational skills and be a self starter who needs minimal direction following the development of a particular assignment.
- This individual should be flexible and capable of changing focus from the task at hand to another assignment and then returning to the original assignment.
- This individual must have strong communication skills and be comfortable with public speaking, writing and telephone solicitation.
- This individual must understand that part of good communications is being a good listener.
- This individual must have an excellent background in computers and their various programs.
