Family Literacy is a program which brings parents and preschool children together to learn. Adult education, early childhood education, parenting skills and community service is part of the many family services provided to families in Family Literacy. We are located inside the public school at Leupp.
AmeriCorps Service Assignment Description:
1. Tutor preschool aged children
individually or in small groups.
2. Provide emotional support for preschool children.
3. Find free books for preschool to 3rd grade range. Long them in.
4. Distribute free books to program families.
AmeriCorps Member Qualifications:
1. Must be available Monday thru Thursday 8am to 3pm.
2. Must demonstrate patience with children 3 to 5 years old.
3. Must be comfortable following rules and guidelines in a Public School Environment.
4. Must be a
team player.
