15th Annual Governor's Conference on Service & Volunteerism

When: TBD

What:  AmeriCorps members from throughout the state will participate in workshops, complete hands-on service in the Flagstaff community, be inspired by keynote speakers, share successes and, most importantly, strengthen our distinctive bonds of volunteerism and service.

Highlights of  last year's conference:
· Keynote speakers include: Dr. Dave Fleming, Leadership Coach for Greater Tucson Leadership, teacher at University of Phoenix. Suzanne and Eric Dhruv, Co-Directors of the Ironwood Tree Experience
· Over 20 different workshops with titles ranging from “I’ll Twitter Your Facebook” to “Mobilizing Assets for Action.”
· Thirteen service projects where you can volunteer to wield a kitchen ladle, a paintbrush, green thumb or possibly even a chainsaw?
· A great chance to meet up with yourfellow AmeriCorps members from around Arizona to establish, and renew or connections

A few things to keep in mind when completing the registration:

*You are registering as an AmeriCorps State Member

*Our AmeriCorps State program is called Youth in Action AmeriCorps

*Be sure to record all conference hours on your time sheet. Please specify what workshops/service project you attend.
