COMMANDER'S LETTER
Office of the Commander
Greetings:
On behalf of the Lumberjack Battalion, I would like to thank you for your interest in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program at Northern Arizona University. Since 1982, NAU has proudly served as a host institution for Army ROTC. For 29 years, our program has continued to provide quality officers to the Active Duty force, Reserve component and to the National Guard. Together with our partnership program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, our outstanding Cadets progress on their journey along the path of officership each year. Our Cadets have distinguished themselves as scholars, athletes and leaders. Two years ago, the Lumberjack Battalion was designated as the best battalion in our brigade, which included all ROTC programs in California, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. We have realigned and we are now in 5th ROTC Bridge which includes schools in Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Provided you meet the basic entry requirements, our team stands ready to tap your potential and fine-tune your leadership skills. Both the NAU campus in Flagstaff and ERAU Prescott campus are incredible places to continue with your higher education. Both ROTC Programs are your gateway to becoming a Second Lieutenant in the Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard components. Please take the time to browse the information on this website, and don't hesitate to drop by our office on campus or contact us by phone e-mail or on Facebook using the links listed. We look forward to meeting you. Army Strong!
Again, thank you for your interest in Army ROTC.
“Best leadership course on campus,”
