The following questions are for the virtual trip that students will take visiting Arizona regions.

  1. This metropolitan area is surrounded by desert, with saguaro cactus, and the country of Mexico not too far away.  Do you know where you are?

  1. The capital of Arizona, not only am I hot, but you will find many Palo Verde, and Mesquite trees all around my boarders?  You might also be lucky and see a Gila monster.  Do you know the name of this city?

  1. The cool air of the pines is always refreshing, but I am not yet on the Mogollon Rim, close but not quite there.  I do though have higher elevation trees like juniper.  Have you ever been to this ever, expanding city?

  1. Deep rich canyon walls surround you as you take a step back in time to this culturally rich location.  The climate is hot, and it is a high elevation desert.  Water is scarce, but the Navajo successfully grows corn and other crops. Wouldn’t you like to see this fascinating example of canyon delight?

  1. One of the seven wonders of the word, where Pinyon nuts ripen in the fall, and the Kaibab squirrels scamper from tree to tree.  The climate by the river is hot, but up on the rim you will always find cool evenings, and fantastic sunsets. Have you ever been to see this national treasure?

  1. The city in the pines.  Did you now that this town is in the largest continuous ponderosa pine type forests in the world.  Black bears roam in the mountains, and if you are lucky, a mountain lion might leave a sign or two for you to examine.

  1. Water everywhere, but not indigenous to this location.  Surrounded by desert this town has a national landmark from another country.  Have you been to the London Bridge?  Cactus covers the countryside, and watch out for those pesky rattle snakes.  Do you know the name of this town?

  1. The Colorado River flows through this town, rich and brown with topsoil.  The cactus in many places will even grow very close to the edge of this mighty river.  With an average rainfall yearly of less than three inches this city is one of the driest in the state of Arizona.  Have you ever been to this corner marvel before?
