Module 1:  Introduction to Scientific Inquiry

Laboratory 1.  The Black (White) Box

   

Scientific inquiry involves asking questions, using prior knowledge, reasonable assumptions, observational skills, and deduction to obtain new information about the world around us.  In Lab 1, you will participate in activities to illustrate the steps involved in scientific inquiry.  The activities in this laboratory will set the stage for the rest of the semester and you will use the skills developed here in all subsequent laboratories.  These skills will also be used when working on your Course Projects
