Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if I miss my lab? If you will miss a lab, it is your responsibility to make arrangements to attend another lab section that day. You should always contact your TA to let them know that you will miss your regularly scheduled lab. Ideally, you should contact them before you miss the lab to let them know that you will be unable to attend. To determine other lab sections that you could attend, or to obtain information to contact TA's, click on the TA Info link to the left. What material will be covered on the weekly quiz? Each quiz will be generated by your laboratory instructor, and will cover material from previous laboratories as well as the current laboratory. To study for this quiz you should read over the previous and upcoming laboratory exercises and your notes from your TA's lecture the previous week. Where can I submit assignments to my TA? Most laboratory assignments should be turned in to your TA during your regularly scheduled lab time. However, if your TA informs you that they are willing to accept a late assignment, you may put it in their mail box in the biology mailroom (BS 225). You may obtain a date and time stamp from the Biology Department Office (BS 227) if your assignment was due by a particular time. How can I find out my current lab grade? Calculate your grade yourself by dividing your total points earned to date by the total points possible to date, or contact your TA. Your TA has regularly scheduled office hours and an email address to which you may submit questions or make an appointment. This information is provided under the TA information link above. |
