Need-To-Know Necessities
Important Dates Spring 2007

Late November 2006: Students with tuition, housing and/or meal plan charges will receive a one-time paper invoice.  All monthly bills after November will be created electronically on LOUIE and students will be notified by an email sent to their NAU email address.  Class schedule changes made after this billing will not generate another paper statement. If you have any changes to your class schedule, please check LOUIE for new charges that may be posted to your account.
December 15, 2006:

Tuition/Fees Payment deadline for students NOT receiving financial aid and registering on or before December 15th.

Enrolled students who have tuition and fees balance of more than $500 by the end of the day on December 15th (and not a financial aid recipient) will automatically be placed on a Tuition Payment Plan and charged the $50 non-refundable service fee.  The payment plan spreads the total tuition balance across the length of the term, thus enabling you to make monthly payments January through May.  If you have questions regarding the Tuition Payment Plan please visit our website at https://www4.nau.edu/bursar/tpp.asp

*** Students not receiving financial aid and will be registering for classes after this date will automatically be placed on the Tuition Payment Plan if payment is not received the day classes are added. ***
January 5, 2007:

Tuition/Fees Payment Deadline for financial aid students registering on or before January 5th.

If you have been awarded financial aid, you will have until January 5th to pay any balance on your tuition not covered by aid or that balance (if more than $500) will automatically be placed on the Tuition Payment Plan.  The $50 non-refundable service fee will be charged to your account.
January 6, 2007:

Financial aid disbursement & refunding begins today.  After financial aid pays all term charges, excess aid will be sent via Direct Deposit.  To set-up electronic refunding, select the Direct Deposit link on LOUIE.  To verify your refund is issued, select the "View Direct Deposit Refunds" link on LOUIE.  Please allow a minimum of two business days for funds to post to your bank account.

If not set-up for Direct Deposit, a check will be mailed to your refund address.  Checks are sent via US Mail and may take up to ten days to arrive.  Checks cannot be picked up at the Bursar’s Office.
