Capital Assets and Services sustains the integrity and appearance of the campus environment while supporting the educational process, research activities, and public involvement, by effectively utilizing human, physical, and financial capital. It consists of the following departments: Campus Supply, Safety and Environmental Services, Operations and Maintenance, Planning and Development, Recycling and the Transportation Services Center.

  Operations and Maintenance conducts a campus wide program to identify, maintain and repair facilities on campus to promote a quality learning and working environment. The Transportation Service Center is responsible for state vehicle rentals for campus departments, mechanical and auto body repairs and maintaining other state agency vehicles.  
 
 
  Planning and Development offers complete project management service from architectural design, bid, through construction to warranty acceptance. Campus Supply is the central warehouse for NAU and passes an average savings of 30% off retail pricing to campus.  
 
 
  Safety and Environmental Services is responsible for reducing health and safety risks on campus and protecting the University from liability. NAU Recycles operates a comprehensive collection program using modern processes in a facility built specifically for the recycling program.
