To downlaod the quicktime player, goto: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download

Here is the Vuescan lowdown:

• You must change the saving location under the "files" tab to the "localsave" folder. Vuescan will try to scan to the Application/vuescan folder wich you do not have privlages to write to. If you do not change this setting, you will get an error like "error creating tiff file"
