Remembering Martha Portree:

Martha Portree, We Will Miss You:   The Commission on the Status of Women is deeply saddened by the death of one of our Commissioners, Martha Portree. Martha was a dedicated professional who served the entire NAU community and deeply loved her daughter Samantha and husband, David.   Martha worked on many projects as part of her service to CSW. She was instrumental in the establishment of the CSW Scholarship fund. She worked on the first CSW Silent Auction and on the Campus Safety Cards group. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

CSW has renamed our Scholarship Fund to The Martha Portree Scholarship Fund in honor of our friend, Martha Portree.

General Campus Safety Information:

NAU Police Department (NAUPD) operates a Safety Escort Service for those on campus who may need to commute within campus at night.  The number to dial is 928-523-3611.  CSW will be distributing Safety Escort Service business cards. NAU Departments:  Please contact 928-523-9045 for business cards.

NAU Parking & Shuttle Services offers a bus-service called SAFE RIDE which runs from 9pm to 3am and between NAU Campus and Flagstaff Downtown. See our link on Campus Safety for more.

NAU offers self-defense courses. See LOUIE for more under "Physical Education" (PES).
