Below are step-by-step directions for enrolling in a CTE class.
If you are already an admitted student you can skip steps #1 and #2. If you
have ANY problems with the online system, call the help desk at
888-520-7215 or 928-523-9294- they are available 7 days per week (hours

you can be online when you call them so they can walk you through the
process.

To Register for any CTE Class:
-
You first need to be
admitted as a student at Northern Arizona University. There are
two types of admission, degree-seeking and non-degree seeking.
If you are planning on
completing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) it is recommended that
you apply as a "degree seeking" student. You must be "degree
seeking" to apply for financial aid. Unless you entering the
Secondary Education Certification program (which is not an online
program), undergraduate students will select the degree Career and
Technical Education, Occupational Education Emphasis and graduate
students will select the degree Education, Career and Technical
Education. Undergraduate admission takes 4-6 weeks and transfer
credit transcript evaluation will take an additional 4-6 weeks once you
are admitted.
If you are only
planning on taking one or two classes from NAU,
you can apply and
be admitted as a "non-degree seeking student." Non-degree seeking
graduate admission is $25. Non-degree seeking undergraduate admission
is $0 for Arizona residents and $25 for non-residents. You can apply
and pay online. Transcripts are not needed to be admitted with a
non-degree seeking status. It takes 24 - 48 hours for your
graduate application to be processed. Undergraduate applications
take 2-4 weeks. Make sure you pay the fee
online or via the telephone. You can call 888-667-3628 x1122 (Bursar's
Office) to pay the admission fee or you can fax your credit card
information to the Bursar at 928-523-0009. You can call 888-667-3628 to
inquire about the status of your undergraduate admission, call the same
number and ask for graduate admissions to inquire about the status of
graduate admission (or dial the graduate college direct 928-523-4348).
Make sure you select "online" as your "campus" when getting admitted to NAU for taking our online classes.
If you do not select online, you will be required to provide proof of
measles immunization to NAU prior to being able to register for classes.
The only exception is if you are being admitted into one of our
secondary degree programs (Business Ed, Ind Tech, or FACS Ed) you will
need to choose the campus where you will be taking your ECI courses
(which for most students is the "Mountain Campus" in Flagstaff).

Important information for out of
state students: Summer and winter session tuition and fees are the
same for all students. There is not a higher fee for out of state
students for these sessions. For fall and spring sessions CTE
students are eligible for the WWU tuition rate. If you are an
out-of-state student (taking CTE classes) you are eligible to receive
reduced out-of-state tuition rates (they will be 150% of in-state rates
instead of the full out-of-state rates). To receive the WWU rate: When you go to add a
class in Louie, after you choose the semester, there is a link at
the bottom of the page that says "WWU" - make sure you click this link
and select the yellow box link "check eligibility". This is the
way your tuition rates will be adjusted.
If you have ANY problems with the online system,
call the help desk at 888-520-7215 or 928-523-9294- they are available
24/7. It is helpful if you can be online when you call them so they can
