My research focuses on the HDL receptor SR-BI; including its possible role in women with fertility problems during their reproductive years and increased risk for cardiovascular disease in their post-reproductive years; also the HDL receptor function/expression in ovarian surface epithelial cells, where 85-90% of ovarian cancers arise.

My goal is to understand the role of SR-BI in commonly occurring medical conditions such as fertility problems, cardiovascular disease and ovarian cancer.
