I am testing the success of VCD as a chemical sterilant in different animal species. VCD sterilization in mice has provided us with a model for peri-menopause and post-menopause in women.  Prior to this finding no model was available. This is extremely beneficial to women’s health, as it provides a way of screening medicines/treatments in a model that represents women in peri- or post-menopause.

Feral animals cause many problems in all parts of the world. By applying the “Mousepause” model to other animal species perhaps we can reduce the damage they incur and help reestablish a balance within their natural environments. My goal is to help control overpopulation of feral animals through chemical sterilization.
