Upcoming Wellness Programs

 

You've Always Wanted to Write (but can't find the time!)

Tuesday afternoons, June 4 - July 16, 12:10 - 1:10 p.m.
Health and Learning Center, Room 2403 (Room 2), 2nd floor
$42/6 sessions (no class on July 2)

Join writer and NPR commentator Mary Sojourner for an hour of creative writing. We write, using prompts and exercises designed to free your pen. If you've always wanted to write, have written and miss it, or are writing and want to take your craft a little deeper, this circle is a safe place.

Led by Mary Sojourner, M.A., author of Sisters of the Dream, Going Through Ghosts, Delicate; and, Bonelight: ruin and grace in the New Southwest. Mary teaches writing, in private circles, one-on-one, at colleges and universities, writing conferences and book festivals.

 

 

Tour de Rec Tuesday

Tuesday, June 25, 2 sessions available: 12 - 12:45 p.m. or 5:15 - 6 p.m.
Campus Recreation Services front desk, Health and Learning Center, 1st floor

Join Campus Recreation staff for a tour of the Recreation Center. Employees will have an opportunity to tour the center, explore programs and services offered, and take advantage of a special membership offer to receive one month free if they sign up for an annual payroll deduction on the same day as the tour.

Summer Sports Programs

Season 1 begins June 3
$20/player for NAU faculty and staff, $40/player for non-NAU affiliated individuals

Campus Recreation Services is pleased to offer basketball and indoor soccer leagues for everyone, age 18 years and older. For this entry fee, players are guaranteed four games plus playoff games.

Commit to be Fit this Summer with PES!

May 28 - June 27, 11 - 11:45 a.m.
Rolle Activity Center
$25/one class per week, $40/two classes per week, $50/three classes per week


Join the Physical Education Service (PES) team and get fit this summer by taking fun and affordable fitness classes, including Bootcamp (on Tuesday), Pilates (on Wednesday), and Body Sculpt (on Thursday).

Open Climb for NAU Employees

Tuesday mornings, 6:30 - 8 a.m. and Thursday afternoons, 12 noon - 1 p.m.
Health and Learning Center, Climbing Wall, 1st floor
$5/visit or $15/four-session pass; no charge for Recreation Center members

Have some fun at the wall during your lunch hour and get a workout. Climbing is an excellent and fun full body, strength and flexibility workout. This open climb time is reserved for employees only! No experience is necessary. Each climber will receive an orientation to the wall and be required to complete a liability waiver during their first visit. Harnesses, belay devices, and climbing shoes are provided at no extra charge.
