A Day in the Life of a Four Corners Student

Morning Research Wake up, head to the Dining Hall for breakfast and then join your Research Group for a morning of hands-on research and preparation for the annual Research Symposium. New research projects are offered every year. Topics in the past have included: biology, environmental science, chemistry, engineering, physics, anthropology and psychology. Take a look at the 2004 Research Projects.
Students at the NAU Dining Hall Back to the Dining Hall for lunch. The Dining Hall offers a variety of hot and cold foods every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Afternoon Classes Students attend 3-4 classes in the afternoon including Math, Science, English and Reading. Students class schedules are matched to their academic ability with a focus on improving ACT test taking skills in each of these areas.
Academic Advising

At least one day a week, students meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss career and academic planning.

Evening Activities The evenings are dedicated to programming which can mean everything from basketball tournaments to craft activities to fieldtrips to book clubs to dance classes to free time. Evenings are a time to get to know the other Four Corners students, give families a call or catch up on your laundry.
SAGE Group After programming, all students meet in small groups with their Summer Advisors. This time is spent checking in and chatting with everyone in your group or participating in group activities. We have found that this group time can help students create their own tight-knit communities while adjusting to being away from home.
Students in NAU Residence Hall Students then have time to spend on their floors or in their rooms until Lights Out. Then it's off to bed to get some sleep before the next jam packed Four Corners day.
Weekend Activities What goes on during the weekends?! Students can choose to go home or stay on campus over the weekends. A myriad of programming activities continue through the weekend and can include longer fieldtrips to the Grand Canyon and Sedona.
