The Four Corners Upward Bound Math and Science Program is an intensive five-week academic summer program followed by an academic year component. The Four Corners Program is for freshmen and sophomore high school students interested in math and science careers. In the summer, students earn college credits while living on the Northern Arizona University campus. The summer curriculum includes hands-on research projects in the areas of math and science as well as coursework in Reading, English, Math and Science. Supervised evening and weekend activities are provided to help students feel at home in the program and meet new people. Academic advising is also provided during the summer program and is continued through the following academic year. Students are encouraged to return each summer through their senior year in high school and can participate in the Senior Trip where they get a chance to tour colleges and universities in the southwest. The 2006 Four Corners Program dates are June 10 - July 14. |
