Established in 1984, the Nizhoni Academy continues to serve Native American high school students by providing a five-week academic and residential summer program held on the campus of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Nizhoni Academy is a pre-college program designed to encourage Native American students to seriously prepare for and succeed at a post-secondary education. The Academy emphasizes a rigorous academic discipline to provide students a clear understanding of the demands of college studies and the requirements of academic study skills necessary to be successful in college.
