Energy Case Study:

Dear Tribal Member:

As you may know, the Regional Intertribal Council has worked hard to create business enterprises that promote job creation, economic development and tribal self-sufficiency. In reviewing national energy needs, we have identified a significant development opportunity for the regional tribes to consider --- a small power plant.

You are invited to provide input into the feasibility of developing a 70-100 megawatt power plant on Tribal lands. The plant would generate electricity for sale into the wholesale power market. Please consider the following questions:

• Should the regional tribes build an energy production facility?
• What type of energy production facility should the tribe build?

Your participation in this project is very valuable for community input. Our intertribal success depends on maintaining harmony throughout the region.
