SIP Host - Short Internship Program Host Information (Water Resources)

Hosting a SIP Intern:
The SIP program is designed to give meaningful experience to tribal students and tribal environmental professionals, while meeting the needs of the local tribal environmental office or other agency. Host agencies will be paired with a local tribal student to work on a specific project on water resource issues. Host sites will provide supervision and mentoring for the interns.

This program is an opportunity to build capacity in local tribal youth by building bridges to future environmental careers in their own communities.

Application Process:
If you are interested in hosting a SIP intern, please complete and submit the on-line application below.

Student Interns:
Student interns will have the opportunity to spend one or two weeks working on water resource related issues impacting on tribal nations. There are no travel funds for students, so the interns should live close to your office. If you know a student in your area that would be interested working on tribal water resource related issues, please provide them our contact information or have them visit our website. High school and college students will receive a salary of $500 per week.
