Summer Scholars at the Grand Canyon
We arrived at N.A.U on Sunday the 10th of June 2001. Our mission is to solve the problem of the "haze" at the Grand Canyon. First we were split into groups of six, all groups were to make there own decision of what we thought started the whole haze problem involving the Grand Canyon. Then we began our investigation on what relevant and reliable information was provided to us about the haze in the Grand Canyon. Next we started thinking about the air quality of the Grand Canyon. Finally we made recommendations on what could help the the haze problem.

My recomendation is to build a giant fan at the bottom of the Canyon and it would blow the haze out of the Grand Canyon, my second recommendation is to fly two airplanes with big filters hooked up to both of them, so the two airplanes can trap the haze.

The positive thing that could happen in the fan situtation is that the haze would be pushed up into the air. In the case of the filter's, airplanes would catch most of the haze in the filters.

The negative things to take place in the fan situtation is it might cost a lot of money to build the fan. In the airplanes place it might move the haze to another location.
