Group leaders Jack and Fred have their ear pluggs in their nose before entering Cholla Power Plant.
Introduction:
This past week we learned about regional haze in the Grand Canyon and I researched the health effects of regional haze.  We also visited the Grand Canyon, Ft.Valley Experimental Forest and Cholla Power Plant.  We learned how the power plant put certain pollutants such as ozone in the air.  At the experimental forest we learned how natural caused fires help the forest.
Recommendation:
We would tell  people how to use the AQI (air quality index) charts for their health and safety before they go outdoors who have heart and lung disease, asthma, and other respiratory conditions because they are very sensitive to air pollution.  People can  find the AQI charts in the newspaper, the internet, the local television and radio stations.

Positive Consequences:
People will be able to protective their health.

Negative Consequences:
This procedure does not clean the air.
