Air Pollution in Our National Parks 1999 - Text

NAU | EEOP | EPA
Introduction: Hello, we have spent time at NAU and learned about the haze in the Grand Canyon and what caused it. Our team was assigned to learn about power plants that help cause the haze. So we created a web page to help make people realize that there is a haze in the Grand Canyon. The problem we have to solve is " What should be done about the haze in the Grand Canyon?"

Recommendations:
There are three different recommendations we have come up with. We also only had to chose one so we choose to put power plants that help cause the haze in another state. Here are some positive and negative reason why we think and don't think this solution will work.

Positive Consequences:
1) The pollution goes down and we don't have to worry about the pollution coming back unless the wind brings in back.
2) The pollution goes away or the ugliest goes away and the Grand Canyon looks nicer.

Negative Consequences:
1) The pollution comes back.
2) We don't have a back up plan if our power goes out because we moved all the power plants to another state.
