 Grand Canyon
Hi. We're with the Summer Scholars Program. We're all in the seventh grade, but we're going into the eigth grade. We are studying visibility issues like haze in the Grand Canyon. During the time that we were here we took some field trips to Cholla Power Plant, Ft. Valley Experimental Forest, and the Grand Canyon. We also took some notes and did work sheets on the haze, pollution and what they did to the environment and we read information on the subject.

Our recommendations on the subject are.
 1.   Make filters for everything that gives out pollution so we won't be polluting the air.
 2.   Shut down all power plants.
 3.   Make electric cars.

Our positive consequences for shutting down all power plants are....
 1.   The smoke will stop polluting the air.
 2.   Save coal.
 3.   Less haze.

Our negative consequences are....
 1.   When the sun goes down where are we going to get our lights?
 2.   How are people going to entertain themselves when there's no electricity?
 3.   It will cost a lot to shut them down.
 4.   People don't want to shut down the power plants.

This is the Grand Canyon
