All this week we looked for recommendations on the Grand Canyon haze.  We were put into four different groups.  We discussed what the causes of the Grand Canyon haze.  We all agreed that the forest fires, tourism, different types of transportation and the power plants around the Grand Canyon area are the causes of the haze.
As we went on our field trips we found out that it was true the main things that caused the hazes were the vehicles, forest fires and tourism. Because the people that come to the Grand Canyon come in with cars, buses, vans, etc.  How do these vehicles make pollution? By there dirty gas, and the smoke that comes out from the exhaust pipe.
Forest fires are not really the cause of the air pollution in the Grand Canyon. Except last years forest fires surrounding the Grand Canyon caused the most haze in the canyon.

WHAT WE CAN DO TO HELP?

Knowing that some of the fires are good for the forest, we have to do something to stop the haze in Grand Canyon.

· Educate the community
· Stop unnecessary prescribed forest fires
· As individuals, we can reduce haze
· Recycle
· Conserve Energy
· All tourist should either walk or bicycle (cars are causing pollution).
· Clean up the power plants (scrubbers).
