Hello! I am here at Northern Arizona University for summer program called Summer Scholars. The major project that we worked on was the HAZE in Grand Canyon. But first these are some Questions?

My Questions
1) How much pollution is in the Grand Canyon?
2) How much pollution inhaled affects the human body?
3) What will Effect the Environment on the Grand Canyon?
4) What can we do to reduce the haze in the Grand Canyon?

My Recommendation
My Recommendation is about:
How to stop haze in the Grand Canyon is to try not to let Grand Canyon  become more polluted and hazier. What they could do is close it down during Sept. to Apr. so Grand Canyon would be a lot clear and healthy. Some Positive Consequences are:

1) It’ll reduce the haze of pollution
2) Tourist will have a clear picture of the Grand Canyon than with haze.
Some Negative Consequence are:

Some Negative consequences are:

1) It might be shut down the Grand Canyon and they’ll have a hard time staying on task.
3) Lose a lot of money.

The Grand Canyon Haze
Through out the week, we’ve learned the many
I feel that both parties will benefit from the closure of the park as stated above. Then again the consumers would have to adjust their schedules to the closure. The most beneficial way is to run a test period for a year, to see if it works for all parties concerned.

Burn! Burn! Burn!

A forest burning. Fertilizing the ground.
Hello! I am here at Northern Arizona University for summer program called Summer Scholars.  The major project that we worked on was finding a recommendation to reduce the haze at the Grand Canyon. An I think this is what we should do to clean the haze in the Grand Canyon. But first these were some of my questions.

The Problem an Questions?

1. What are some ways to clean up the haze in the Grand Canyon.
2. What produces the haze in the Grand Canyon?
3. What is the effect on the environment and people in the Grand Canyon?
4. How much pollution is going into the Grand Canyon?

My Recommendation

My recommendation for cleaning the haze in the Grand Canyon is to bring large solar power fans to the Grand Canyon an it will blow the haze away. Some positive consequences will be it will clear up the haze in the Grand Canyon. Also it will educate people or visitors that go to the Grand Canyon and not use electricity and use nothing but solar power. Some negative consequences is it might be cloudy and then you have to go back to electricity and power plants. The haze might go to another city and cause haze there. They should raise the price to 45 dollars per head or more like Disneyland. When they raise the price they will get  more money to by the fans. To research it I went on field work an research the source of the problem. The fairness of it is:

1. You don’t have to shut down the Grand Canyon.
2. Besides people are already spending a lot of money on the Grand Canyon.

The thing we were researching is forest fires and it is 13% of how much is going into the Grand Canyon and causing haze. But we also learned that forest fires can be helpful to the forest but can be dangerous at the same time. And it can have an effect on your health
to give you cancer or just make you sick. That is why it is good to have fans at the Grand Canyon so tourist can still see it but it will reduce the haze. (Instead of permanently closing the Grand Canyon)
